The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development Project (KITE), in collaboration with the World Bank Group, invites qualified individual consultants to express their interest in providing consultancy services as a Social Development Specialist. This consultancy is part of the broader effort to improve tourism infrastructure and ensure social safeguards in project implementation.

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has received funding from the International Development Association (IDA) to support the project. Interested consultants are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the qualifications and experience requirements.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Environmental Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in social safeguards, community engagement, planning, implementation, and grievance resolution/grievance redress management.
• Familiarity with donor-funded projects, particularly those financed by the World Bank, and knowledge of safeguard policies.
• Knowledge of the practices and cultures of the communities affected by the project.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and travel extensively to project sites.

Selection Method:
The selection will be made in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Regulations for Investment Project Financing, through an open competitive process. Consultants must adhere to the conflict-of-interest policies outlined in the procurement guidelines.

Submission Deadline:
The Expression of Interest (EOI) must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled with the assignment title. Submissions must be delivered before May 30, 2025, at 1400 hours.
