The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), under the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of Infrastructure Engineer as part of the Digital Economy Enhancement Project (DEEP). This project is funded by the International Development Association (IDA) to support the development of Pakistan’s digital infrastructure.

The consulting services involve hiring individual consultants with expertise in infrastructure engineering to assist in project management with the highest degree of integrity and ethical standards. The initial contract will be for three years, extendable based on project requirements and performance.

Position Details:

• Position: Infrastructure Engineer
• Location: NADRA HQ, Islamabad
• Duration: Initial 3 years (extendable)
• Remuneration: Monthly lump sum payment

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
  • Master’s degree (preferred).

• Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in system storage, virtualization, backups, Linux, and Unix.
  • Proficiency in virtualization, disaster recovery strategies, and backup solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with CIFS, NFS, Object Storage, S3, Linux, Unix, scripting automation tools like Ansible/Chef, and DNS/Webservers.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Linux, complex computing platforms, and storage systems.
  • Knowledge of working with government/public sector projects is preferred.

• Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in server operating systems (Windows, Linux) and system administration.
  • Technical expertise in system troubleshooting, storage performance, and firmware upgrades.
  • Backup and restore management software experience.
  • Flexibility to work in morning and evening shifts.
